Construction Permitting Drawings
A construction permit or building permit is a permit required in most jurisdictions for new construction, or adding onto pre-existing structures, and in most cases, major renovations. Generally, the new construction must be inspected during construction and after completion to ensure compliance with national, regional, and local building codes. Failure to obtain a permit can result in significant fines and penalties, and even demolition of unauthorised construction if it cannot be made to meet code. Many major construction projects also require the services of a registered architect to produce the drawings necessary to obtain a permit.
Even those smaller do-it-yourself projects will require drawings showing what your plans are. This is where Cylent Studios comes in. You can save the high costs of hiring an architect by utilizing Cylent Studios design services for that back-yard shed, walkway, fence patio and other similar smaller type projects requiring visual plans. Our services include: Basic code research for your municipal juridiction and any minor changes that become necessary upon examination by your municipal permit dept. Branding, Signage Design, Site Surveys and Permitting Drawings
Many people assume they can get the signage they need and are typically unaware they must first get a permit from their local government. Every city has its own sign code and the requirements can be very different from one city to another. As your signage professional, Cylent Studios will either know the local code or check it as part of the process in developing your sign design.
At times your business needs may require designing a sign that is not allowed to be built under your local sign code. If that occurs, you will need to apply for a variance from the sign code. A variance is a legal exception from the code. Often, Cylent Studios and your sign manufacturer will be able to help you through this process, though you may also need the services of an attorney. United States Patent Drawings and Product Design
A U.S. patent for an invention is the grant of a property right to the inventor(s), issued by the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. The right conferred by the patent grant is, in the language of the statute and of the grant itself, "the right to exclude others from making, using, offering for sale, or selling" the invention in the United States or "importing" the invention into the United States. To get a U.S. patent, an application must be filed in the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. Cylent Studios can help prepare your drawings to package for your patent application and product design. The drawing disclosure is the most important element of the application. Every patent application must include a drawing of the claimed design. As the drawing constitutes the entire visual disclosure of the claim, it is of utmost importance that the drawing be clear and complete, that nothing regarding the design sought to be patented is left to conjecture. The design drawing must comply with disclosure requirements of 35 U.S.C. 112, first paragraph. To meet the requirements, the drawings must include a sufficient number of views to constitute a complete disclosure of the appearance of the design claimed. The drawings should contain a sufficient number of views to completely disclose the appearance of the claimed design, i.e., front, rear, right and left sides, top and bottom. While not required, it is suggested that perspective views be submitted to clearly show the appearance and shape of three-dimensional designs. If a perspective view is submitted, the surfaces shown would normally not be required to be illustrated in other views if these surfaces are clearly understood and fully disclosed in the perspective. Artists Renderings/ Conceptions Concept art is a form of illustration where the main goal is to convey a visual representation of a design, idea, and/or mood for use in production before it is put into the final product. This is a relatively new designation popularized by artists working in the automobile and video games industries. This term has been in use since the 1930's by the traditional animation industry who was describing drawn or painted images which illustrate the look, feel, design, colors, etc...of the item to be made. Concept art is also referred to as "visual development".
Concept art by Cylent Studios is a preliminary visual statement. Before products or other items are created, images are made to show what these things should look like, often based on a writers description. Concept Art is the illustrated visualization of ideas. | |
